Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting a leading independent business within the printed carton packaging industry in the appointment of a Business Development Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, growing packaging manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and driving profitable growth across the North West region.
The Role
Reporting to the Sales Director, you will:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market penetration.
- Identify, secure, and develop new business opportunities across target sectors.
- Manage and grow existing customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Build long-term partnerships with key decision-makers and strategic accounts.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure the smooth delivery of customer requirements.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Attend industry exhibitions, networking events, and customer meetings.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and provide regular pipeline updates.
- Support the delivery of profitable growth through a consultative sales approach.
About You
To be considered for this role, you must have experience within the carton packaging industry.
You'll likely have experience as a:
- Business Development Manager
- Sales Manager
- Area Sales Manager
- Regional Sales Manager
- Key Account Manager
You will also possess:
- Proven success in winning new business and growing existing accounts.
- Strong knowledge of the UK carton packaging market.
- Understanding of carton manufacturing processes, including print, cutting, gluing, and cartonboard materials.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- A commercially driven and highly motivated approach.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
Essential Requirement
Applicants must have previous carton packaging experience. Applications from candidates without experience in folding cartons, printed carton packaging, cartonboard packaging, or a closely related carton packaging background will not be considered.
