About the role
We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional learning needs at a welcoming and inclusive school in Northfield.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN.
- Assist children with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH).
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities.
- Help implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs).
- Encourage pupil independence, confidence, and social development.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Experience working with children or young people.
- A caring, patient, and empathetic approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable:
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
- Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, or SEMH.
- Relevant qualifications in childcare, education, or special educational needs.
- Team Teach, Makaton, or personal care experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
