Contract: Ad-hoc / Day-to-day supply
Pay: Up to £130 per day, depending on experience

A secondary school in S72, Barnsley is looking to appoint two Cover Supervisors who they can rely on for regular ad-hoc and day-to-day cover as the need for supply staff increases over the coming weeks.
The school is looking for candidates who are available to provide cover when required, with the potential for regular bookings and multiple days per week depending on the school’s staffing needs.
The successful candidates will be responsible for supervising pupils across KS3 and KS4, following pre-set lesson plans and ensuring pupils remain on task throughout the lesson. You may be required to cover a range of subjects, so a specific subject specialism is not essential.

The school is specifically looking for candidates with:

• Previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor in a secondary school
• Or experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a secondary school
• Experience supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4
• Confidence managing classroom behaviour
• The ability to follow lesson plans and provide clear instructions to pupils
• Reliability and availability for ad-hoc cover
• A professional approach to working within a secondary school environment

An Enhanced DBS is required for this position. If you do not currently have one, we can support you with obtaining a new Enhanced DBS.
