Rate: Up to £130 per day, depending on experience

We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors for a secondary school in S5, Sheffield, who are looking to build a small pool of reliable staff to call upon for ad-hoc cover.
As the school becomes busier over the coming weeks, there is likely to be an increasing need for additional cover staff. This could provide regular work across the week, with bookings available according to the school’s requirements.
You will be responsible for supervising classes across KS3 and KS4, delivering lessons using the work provided by teaching staff and maintaining a positive learning environment. You should be comfortable working across different subjects.

Previous experience is essential, with the school particularly interested in candidates who have:

• Worked as a Cover Supervisor within a secondary school
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary setting
• Experience working with KS3 and KS4 pupils
• The ability to manage classroom behaviour and maintain expectations
• Confidence supervising lessons and ensuring pupils complete the work provided
• Good availability and reliability for short-notice cover
• A professional approach to working in schools
