Internal Recruitment Resourcer – Construction and Infrastructure

An established specialist construction and engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Recruitment Resourcer to join its in-house talent team.

The company delivers technically challenging construction and infrastructure projects throughout the UK. You will help recruit the skilled people responsible for delivering these schemes, ranging from trades and labour through to supervisors, engineers and specialist construction professionals.

This is a delivery-focused internal recruitment position. There is no business development, external client cold calling or responsibility for generating vacancies.

The Role

Working closely with operational managers, project teams and business leaders, you will support recruitment across several live projects and business functions.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Sourcing skilled trades, labour, plant operators and supervisors
• Identifying engineers and specialist construction professionals
• Building candidate pipelines for current and forthcoming projects
• Using job boards, LinkedIn, social media, referrals and direct approaches
• Screening candidates against experience, qualifications and availability
• Writing and managing job advertisements
• Coordinating interviews and candidate feedback
• Supporting onboarding and pre-employment checks
• Maintaining accurate recruitment records
• Responding to urgent project and mobilisation requirements
• Developing relationships with candidates and hiring managers
• Helping reduce the company’s reliance on recruitment agencies

About You

Previous experience in recruitment, resourcing or talent acquisition is required, ideally within:

• Construction
• Civil engineering
• Infrastructure
• Rail
• Engineering
• Trades and labour
• Plant or logistics

Experience gained within either a recruitment agency or an internal talent team will be considered.

You should have strong candidate-sourcing skills and be comfortable managing multiple vacancies within a fast-moving, project-led environment. Knowledge of right-to-work checks, candidate compliance and construction qualifications would be advantageous.
