About the Junior Development Chef (Cakes & Patisserie) job

The purpose of your role will be to support the development and delivery of high-quality dessert products by assisting with recipe creation, trials, and product optimisation.

Key tasks

• Support the Development Chef in creating and refining dessert products.
• Assist with recipe development, trials, and product scaling from kitchen to factory.
• Prepare samples for internal reviews, customer presentations, and submissions.
• Maintain accurate records of recipes, processes, and trial results.
• Support benchmarking of competitor and market products. 

About You

You will have a desire to start a career in patisserie product development and ideally have graduated or completed a relevant culinary, bakery or patisserie course.

• Passion for food and desserts, with strong attention to detail.
• Eager to learn and develop technical and culinary skills.
• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Collaborative team player with good communication skills.
• Proactive attitude with willingness to contribute ideas.

The Junior Development Chef (Cakes & Patisserie) job (Ref 9101) is based in Berkshire and is paying £28,000 - £30,000 according to your experience.

 The package includes 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, Life Cover and a generous employer’s pension contribution of 9%.

The working hours are either 8am-4pm, or 9am to 5pm, with a 30 minute lunch break.

The site is commutable from Maidenhead, Windsor, Slough, High Wycombe, Bracknell, Wokingham, Marlow and Cookham.
