Job Title: Fire and Security Service Engineer
Location: Middlesbrough
Rate: £220
Are you a Fire and Security Service Engineer based in Newcastle looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Fire and Security Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, reactive servicing, and fault-finding across a range of fire and security systems, working across commercial, industrial, and public sector sites throughout Newcastle and the North East. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance on Fire Alarm, Intruder Alarm, Access Control, CCTV, and Emergency Lighting systems to British Standards.
* Diagnose and resolve faults across a range of fire and security systems in a timely and professional manner.
* Complete accurate service records and site documentation following each visit.
* Liaise with site contacts and clients to ensure works are carried out with minimal disruption.
* Identify and report additional works or system deficiencies observed during site visits.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience servicing and maintaining fire and security systems in a field-based role.
* Proven experience working with Fire Alarm systems from manufacturers such as Hochiki, Advanced, Kentec, or Morley.
* Experience servicing Intruder Alarm, Access Control, and CCTV systems across a variety of sites.
* Knowledge of Emergency Lighting systems and relevant testing requirements.
* Full UK driving licence.
* FIA Level 3 or equivalent fire alarm qualification (desirable).
* ECS/CSCS Card (desirable).
