Facilities / Premises Assistant – Schools

Wickford, Essex Local Education Location: Essex Contract: Temporary / Flexible Hours: Various school-based shifts Put your facilities experience to use in local education. Local Education is building a dedicated bank of Facilities and Premises Assistants to support schools and education settings throughout Essex. This could suit someone who has previously worked within facilities, maintenance, estates, security or property services and is looking for flexible temporary work. You do not necessarily need previous school experience. What matters is that you are dependable, practical, professional and comfortable working within an environment where safeguarding and safety are taken seriously. Assignments may include: * General premises support * Site inspections * Minor maintenance * Setting up classrooms and communal areas * Moving equipment and furniture * Contractor supervision * Health and safety checks * Deliveries and stock movement * Grounds support * Opening and closing buildings * General facilities duties Work may be available on an ad hoc basis, for short-term sickness cover or as longer temporary placements.
