About the role
Location: Cannock
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum (£32K achievable if you have previous logistics planning and customer service experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Contract: Permanent
The Opportunity
Our client, a leading provider of essential operational support services, is seeking an Operations Planner to join their team in Cannock. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring customers receive uninterrupted service through the effective planning and coordination of fuel deliveries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer fuel requirements, coordinating supplier performance, and ensuring operational efficiency throughout the equipment hire lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate deliveries and manage supplier relationships to ensure exceptional service levels.
- Monitor customer requirements and schedules to maintain continuous operations.
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve operational issues.
- Manage administration, including purchase orders, invoicing, and cost recovery processes.
- Support the efficient delivery of services while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and operational procedures.
- Track supplier performance and work closely with stakeholders to maintain service excellence.
- Contribute to revenue recovery initiatives and operational efficiency targets.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience within planning, logistics, operations, transport, or supply chain environments.
- Strong planning, scheduling, and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications mainly EXCEL and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
- A proactive and customer-focused approach to problem-solving.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
