The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an Anaesthetic Consultant to support a hospital service.

This opportunity offers an ongoing locum contract, with weekend work and emergency cover likely to be required. The role includes a non-resident on-call commitment, providing an excellent opportunity to join an established anaesthetic team and support the delivery of safe, effective patient care.

You will be working alongside multidisciplinary clinical teams, contributing to both elective and emergency anaesthetic services.

• Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00-18:00

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality anaesthetic care across a range of surgical specialties
• Support elective and emergency operating lists
• Participate in the on-call rota, including emergency cover where required
• Work collaboratively with surgeons, theatre teams, critical care services and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Contribute to patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
• Provide senior clinical decision-making and support to junior colleagues where appropriate

What We're Looking For

• Active GMC registration
• Recent NHS experience in Anaesthetics
• CCT, CESR, or equivalent experience in Anaesthetics
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication, clinical judgement, and professionalism
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
