Job description
An exciting opportunity to join the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) as a Senior Facilities Manager within the Private Finance Initiatives (PFI) team. This is a high-profile role responsible for overseeing the delivery, assurance and continuous improvement of soft facilities management services across the Project Allenby Connaught (PAC) contract, one of the largest and most complex facilities management PFI contracts in the UK. The contract provides facilities management services across Aldershot, Tidworth, Larkhill and Warminster Garrisons, supporting approximately 30% of the British Army.
Working as part of the DIO Contract Management Team, you will act as a key interface between Defence customers, military stakeholders and industry partners, ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual obligations. The role covers a broad range of soft facilities services and requires a proactive approach to performance management, assurance, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement.
You will provide expert advice to military customers, monitor contractor performance, lead assurance activities, manage risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service delivery and value for money. Working closely with colleagues from across DIO regional delivery, finance and commercial and private sector suppliers, you will help shape solutions to complex estate challenges while ensuring facilities remain fit for purpose to support military personnel, training activities and operational readiness.
The role also offers the opportunity to influence strategic decisions, support contract change activities and develop collaborative relationships that deliver improved outcomes for Defence. In the future the role may also include line management responsibilities. Frequent travel across the PAC estate (and wider) will be required to engage with customers, conduct assurance activities and support the delivery of services across the garrisons.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with facilities management, contract management or service delivery experience who enjoys working in a fast paced and complex environment and wants to play a direct role in supporting the infrastructure that enables Defence personnel to live, work, train and deploy
