Procurement Manager

A well-established manufacturer is seeking a Procurement Manager to take ownership of its end-to-end supply chain and procurement strategy. This is a key role in a growing company that supplies precision-engineered products to clients across the UK and Europe.

The Role
As Procurement Manager, you will lead all procurement activity across direct and indirect materials, ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and supplier reliability. You will also play a key role in supplier negotiations, contract management, and continuous improvement within the supply chain function.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing all purchasing activity across raw materials, components, and indirect spend

• Building strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are met

• Leading sourcing projects and identifying opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality

• Working closely with production, planning, and engineering teams to support business needs

• Monitoring supplier performance and resolving any service or quality issues

• Developing and maintaining purchasing policies and supplier agreements

What You Will Need

• Experience in a similar procurement or supply chain management role within manufacturing or engineering

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills

• Good understanding of MRP/ERP systems

• Proven track record of improving supplier performance and driving cost savings

• CIPS qualification or working towards it would be an advantage
