SEN Teacher Required | Primary School | Streatham, Lambeth Pertemps Education Network is delighted to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Streatham, Lambeth, in their search for a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN specialist or a teacher with a strong interest in supporting children with additional needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in providing high-quality teaching and learning for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, helping every child to reach their full potential.
The Role As an SEN Teacher, you will:
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
    • Support pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning difficulties.
    • Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
    • Work closely with the SENCO, teaching assistants, external agencies, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
    • Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where required.
    • Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
    • Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs within a primary school setting.
    • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
    • A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach.
    • A commitment to inclusive education and achieving positive outcomes for all learners.
