Sales Ledger Controller

Our client, a growing organisation within the veterinary care sector, is seeking a Sales Ledger Controller to support the efficient management of sales ledger activities on a contract basis. The role will involve maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions and supporting timely customer account management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the sales ledger and maintaining accurate customer account records
• Processing sales invoices, credit notes and account adjustments
• Allocating payments and reconciling customer accounts
• Monitoring outstanding balances and supporting credit control activities
• Investigating and resolving account discrepancies and payment queries
• Communicating professionally with customers and internal teams regarding account information
• Preparing regular sales ledger reports and providing financial information as required
• Ensuring financial processes are completed accurately and in line with agreed procedures

Job Requirements:

• Experience in sales ledger, accounts receivable or a similar finance position
• Understanding of invoicing, payment allocation and account reconciliation processes
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to financial administration
• Good numerical and analytical skills
• Confident communication and customer service abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial accounting systems
• Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment
• Professional, organised and reliable approach to contract work
