About the Live-in Carer job in West Sussex

Medicare People is looking for compassionate Live-in Carer in West Sussex who want to help people live independently and comfortably within their own homes. Through personalised one-to-one support, you'll play an important role in improving the wellbeing and quality of life of those in your care.

As a Live-in Carer in West Sussex, you'll provide practical and emotional support that is tailored to each individual. This may include assistance with personal care, companionship, mobility, medication reminders, meal preparation, and everyday household tasks.

We understand that flexibility is important, which is why we offer a range of placements to suit different lifestyles and commitments. You'll also receive ongoing support from an experienced and approachable management team.

Our live-in care placements are available across West Sussex and surrounding areas, allowing us to match you with clients who benefit from your skills and experience.

What you'll do

• Support clients to live independently in their own homes
• Provide high-quality person-centred care
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and personal hygiene
• Offer companionship and emotional reassurance
• Help with mobility and everyday activities
• Prepare meals and support healthy hydration
• Administer medication safely and accurately
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable home environment
• Complete shopping and other essential errands
• Monitor changes in wellbeing and report concerns
• Maintain clear and accurate care notes
• Work collaboratively with families and the wider care team

What you'll bring

• At least 6 months of UK care experience
• A kind, caring and compassionate personality
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence working within clients' homes
• The ability to build positive relationships with clients and families
• Reliability and a strong sense of responsibility
• Flexibility to travel and work in different locations
• A commitment to providing safe, high-quality care
• Right to work in the UK
• Experience administering medication is desirable
• Live-in care experience is beneficial but not required
