About the role
Admin Officer
Location: Cambridgeshire,CB1 1BA
Working Days / Hours: 37 hours Monday - Friday
Working Pattern: 9am - 5pm
Pay Rate: £12.86 per hour
Are you at your best in a busy, service-led environment where attention to detail truly matters? Our Client is hiring in Cambridge to support the smooth running of Courts and Tribunals-keeping cases moving, information accurate, and customers well supported.
What you'll be doing:
* Prepare papers, files, documents and records for hearings, meetings and court/tribunal activity
* Update and input information onto an in-house computer system; support post opening and dispatch
* Clerking support for civil and family courts/tribunals-checking materials are up to date and ready
* Handle counter and enquiries via face-to-face, written and telephone communication
* Contact relevant parties, support scheduling and listing/rota activities, and serve court documents where required
* Contribute to Team Information Board (TIB) meetings and help keep them relevant, timely and productive
* Support processing of casework, including standard documentation and court orders, ensuring accuracy and interpretation against the court file
* Check and verify documents, records and returns against criteria, regulations and quality standards
* Carry out basic calculations and produce straightforward statistical analysis where needed
* Assist with assembling information for daily TIB preparation, bundles and reporting
What you'll bring:
* Strong administrative ability with excellent customer service focus-"right first time" matters
* Confidence working to guidelines and procedures, escalating complex issues to a team leader or supervisor when needed
* A clear, organised approach to managing your time and workload throughput and accuracy
* Competent computer skills to create/update records and support accurate data input
* A willingness to be flexible-some ad hoc working across local offices may be required
