Swindon Borough Council is urgently seeking experienced Social Workers to join their Family Safeguarding Team (FST). Offering competitive rates of up to £42 per hour plus a generous £150 weekly expenses allowance for commuters living over 50 miles away, this is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact in a forward-thinking service.

The Family Safeguarding Team operates an integrated, multidisciplinary model alongside adult specialists (covering mental health, substance misuse, and domestic abuse) to deliver whole-family interventions. You will manage statutory caseloads encompassing Child Protection (CP) and Child in Need (CIN) plans, working restoratively to keep families safely together wherever possible.

• Top Market Pay: Up to £42.00 per hour.

• Commuter Expenses: Receive £150 per week if you live more than 50 miles away from Swindon.

• Multidisciplinary Support: Work alongside co-located adult specialists to provide comprehensive family support.

• Professional Registration: Active registration with Social Work England (SWE).

• Experience: Prior experience working within a Family Safeguarding Team (FST) or core statutory Children's Safeguarding / CP team.

• Skills: Strong analytical assessment writing, court work experience, and effective multi-agency practice.
