Swindon Borough Council is urgently seeking experienced Social Workers to join their Family Safeguarding Team (FST). Offering competitive rates of up to £42 per hour plus a generous £150 weekly expenses allowance for commuters living over 50 miles away, this is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact in a forward-thinking service.
About the Role & Service Area:
The Family Safeguarding Team operates an integrated, multidisciplinary model alongside adult specialists (covering mental health, substance misuse, and domestic abuse) to deliver whole-family interventions. You will manage statutory caseloads encompassing Child Protection (CP) and Child in Need (CIN) plans, working restoratively to keep families safely together wherever possible.

What We Are Looking For:
Professional Registration: Active registration with Social Work England (SWE).
Experience: Prior experience working within a Family Safeguarding Team (FST) or core statutory Children's Safeguarding / CP team.
Skills: Strong analytical assessment writing, court work experience, and effective multi-agency practice.
