About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hounslow's Culture and Events Team for a maternity cover as a Culture Manager.

As a senior member of the team, you will help shape and deliver the Council's cultural ambitions, leading programmes, partnerships and initiatives that contribute to community wellbeing, place-making, social cohesion and economic growth. You will play a key role in delivering the borough's Culture Strategy and associated action plans, ensuring culture contributes to wider Corporate Plan priorities.

You will lead major cultural programmes, including Summer of Culture, manage strategic relationships with colleagues, cultural organisations, funders, businesses and community stakeholders, and oversee project delivery, governance, budgets and performance.

Alongside programme leadership, you will use evaluation, insight and impact assessment to demonstrate the value of cultural investment, inform decision-making and support future funding and sponsorship opportunities.

This is an opportunity to influence cultural development at a strategic level while leading people, projects and partnerships that make a lasting difference to residents and communities across Hounslow.

About The Team You’ll Be Working In

The Culture and Events Team plays a strategic role in delivering Hounslow's cultural ambitions, working to create a borough-wide, cohesive, ambitious and inclusive offer for arts, heritage and culture. The team works across placemaking, participation, community wellbeing and economic development to ensure culture contributes to the wider priorities of the Council.

Working closely with colleagues, artists, cultural organisations, businesses, community groups and funding bodies, the team delivers a range of cultural programmes and partnerships including Summer of Culture, audience development initiatives and the implementation of the borough's Culture Strategy.

As Culture Manager, you will report to the Head of Culture and Events and provide leadership to Culture Officers, project staff, apprentices and graduates, helping to shape the future direction of culture across the borough.
