Job Title: Senior Fire & Security Engineer
Location: Nottingham / Derby
Salary: Up to £45,000
Are you a Senior Fire & Security Engineer based in the Nottingham or Derby area looking for your next opportunity? As a Senior Fire & Security Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire and security systems across a range of commercial, industrial, and public sector sites. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Install, commission, and maintain fire alarm, intruder alarm, CCTV, and access control systems to manufacturer and industry standards.
* Carry out fault-finding and diagnostic work on a range of fire and security systems, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and to a high standard.
* Complete all relevant documentation accurately, including commissioning records, service reports, and risk assessments.
* Liaise with clients on site to provide technical guidance and ensure a professional standard of service is maintained at all times.
* Mentor and support junior engineers, sharing technical knowledge and best practice across the team.
* Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with relevant regulations, including BS 5839 and BS EN 50131.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Fire & Security Engineer, with demonstrable experience across fire alarm and security systems.
* Proven knowledge of fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control, including experience with leading manufacturers such as Advanced, Honeywell, Texecom, or Hikvision.
* Experience reading and working from technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
* Full UK driving licence, as the role requires travel between sites in the Nottingham and Derby area.
* FIA Certificate in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (desirable).
* ECS/CSCS Gold Card (desirable).
