Job Title: Security Small Works Manager

Salary: £45,000 + Overtime

Are you an experienced Security Engineer or Small Works Manager based in Yorkshire looking for your next opportunity? As a Security Small Works Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of small works projects and commissioning activities across a range of commercial and residential sites, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer looking to take a step off the tools and into a management role, with a long-term view of progressing into full project management. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality security solutions to its customers.

Responsibilities:

* Manage the end-to-end delivery of security small works projects, from initial scoping through to completion and sign-off.
* Oversee commissioning activities across a range of security systems, ensuring all works meet client specifications and industry standards.
* Coordinate engineers and subcontractors on site, managing schedules and resources to keep projects on track.
* Liaise with clients throughout the project lifecycle, providing updates and resolving any on-site issues in a timely manner.
* Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and company procedures.
* Maintain accurate project documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and commissioning records.

Experience and Certifications required:

* Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in the security industry, with exposure to small works or project-based environments.
* Proven experience installing and commissioning security systems such as CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control.
* Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Full UK driving licence.
* SIA or NSI/SSAIB installer certification (desirable).
* SMSTS or SSSTS health and safety qualification (desirable).
