About the role
Are you a Property Damage Solicitor with around 2 years’ PQE looking for your next career move with a highly regarded national law firm?
We are working with a leading national practice that is looking to strengthen its Property Damage team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who wants to work on high-quality, complex matters while developing their career within a supportive and well-established team.
The Role
You will handle a varied caseload of property damage and associated insurance claims, acting for a range of insurers, businesses and other clients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing a caseload of property damage claims from instruction through to resolution.
Advising clients and insurers on liability, quantum and coverage issues.
Handling claims arising from fire, flood, escape of water and other insured perils.
Conducting investigations into the circumstances surrounding losses.
Instructing and working closely with experts, loss adjusters and other professionals.
Drafting pleadings, statements, correspondence and other legal documentation.
Negotiating settlements and progressing matters towards resolution.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider insurance and litigation teams.
Building strong relationships with clients and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.
About You
We are looking for a Property Damage Solicitor with approximately 2 years’ PQE who is keen to take the next step in their career.
You will ideally have:
Experience handling property damage litigation and/or insurance claims.
Strong technical and commercial awareness.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The ability to manage your own caseload effectively.
A proactive and client-focused approach.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
The confidence to work with a range of stakeholders, including insurers, clients and experts.
