The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced General Practitioner (GP) to support an NHS Community Hospital in the South West.

This opportunity offers a three-month locum contract with an immediate start and the potential for extension. The role is based within a community hospital, working Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, making it ideal for GPs seeking a regular weekday commitment with no on-call or weekend requirements.

You will work alongside Consultants, Specialty Doctors, Nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams, supporting the delivery of high-quality medical care to adult patients within the community hospital setting.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide high-quality medical care within an NHS Community Hospital.
• Assess, diagnose and manage adult patients presenting with a range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Work collaboratively with Consultants, Nursing staff and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in patient reviews and contribute to ongoing care planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
• Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and contribute to safe, effective patient care.
• Support efficient day-to-day service delivery across the hospital.

What We're Looking For

• Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
• Inclusion on the GMC GP Register.
• Relevant recent UK General Practice experience.
• Strong clinical judgement, communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
• Ability to work independently within a busy NHS Community Hospital setting.
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship).
