About the role
Admin Officer
Location: Cardiff- CF24-0RZ Pay rate: £12.86ph Monday- Friday 9am-5pm

Our Client is hiring for an admin officer, supporting the work of Cardiff Magistrates' Court and contributing to high standards of service through continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing:
* Prepare papers, files and court/tribunal documents for hearings, meetings and activity days
* Create and update records on an in-house computer system, completing accurate data input
* Handle post opening and dispatch, photocopying and filing
* Book and set up meeting rooms, prepare agendas, handouts and joining instructions
* Clerking support across civil and family matters and hearings-checking papers are up to date
* Assist court users through face-to-face, written and telephone enquiries, delivering a "right first time" service
* Contact relevant parties to schedule, serve documents and execute prescribed admin actions (including use of chip and pin, where required)
* Support Team Information Board (TIB) meetings by contributing to timely and productive sessions
* Contribute to problem-solving using Lean/continuous improvement approaches and guidelines
* Undertake checking and verifying of documents, records and statistics to meet quality standards
* Produce basic statistical analysis and, where needed, process straightforward financial information
What you'll bring:
* Excellent administrative ability, with a careful eye for accuracy and detail
* Strong customer service mindset-helpful, prompt and polite, even under pressure
* Confidence working with records, documents and instructions (and escalating complex issues to a team leader/supervisor)
* Competent computer skills for day-to-day operational administration
* A flexible attitude-able to adapt to ad hoc support needs across local offices when required
* The ability to prioritise your own time and work effectively within a team
