Quality Management Lead - Nuclear New Build - HYBRID

Location - Construction site and satellite office Bridgwater based x3days per week AND 2x days per week remote working
Status: Inside IR35

Morson Edge is recruiting for an experienced Quality Management Lead to join an established team working on a major Nuclear New Build Project in North Somerset on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on one of Europe’s largest construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee quality management across contractors and the supply chain.
• Review and monitor Contractor Quality Assurance Plans (CQAPs).
• Develop and maintain Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs).
• Ensure effective implementation of quality requirements, including GQAS, LTQRs, Quality Release Certificates and ITPs.
• Lead LTQR reviews and support progressive record delivery.
• Review and monitor supplier Inspection & Test Plans, witness and hold points.
• Coordinate manufacturing surveillance and inspection activities.
• Manage and support the resolution of non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Review and support acceptance of End of Manufacturing, Construction and Erection Reports.
• Lead the delivery of manufacturing records through to quality release of equipment.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, contractors, suppliers and inspection organisations.

About You

• Typically, HNC/HND or degree in Engineering, Science or a relevant discipline, or equivalent.
• Significant experience in project quality, QA/QC and quality management within major engineering or construction projects.
• Proven leadership experience in nuclear or another safety-critical industry.
• Strong experience working with contractors, supply chains and multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, influencing and problem-solving skills.
• Experience analysing data, producing reports and driving practical quality improvements.

Desirable: Professional quality accreditation and/or Chartered Quality Institute membership.
