Description

Ensure the efficiency of our payroll services.

The Payroll Team provide their services to both Leicestershire Police and Derbyshire Constabulary, ensuring the payroll functions are carried out accurately and on time for both forces.

As Payroll Administrator you will apply Police Regulations, Police Staff Terms and Conditions, force policies and local agreements to pay and allowances, processing appropriately depending on which force you are dealing with and input data to produce the Police Officer and Police Staff payrolls.

What you’ll be doing

  • Be responsible for the co-ordination efforts between payroll, HR, financial management
  • Amend records in respect of pension fund contributions and other voluntary, involuntary and statutory deductions
  • Investigating and resolving year end queries

The must haves

  • Be educated to GCSE grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and maths
  • Hold a level 3 certificate in Payroll Administration or, have equivalent experience
  • Experience of inputting high volumes of data and carrying out manual detailed/complex gross to net calculations quickly and accurately
