Senior Surveyor / Associate - Rating (London)

Are you an experienced Rating professional ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for a driven Senior Surveyor or Associate to join a high-performing Rating team in London, offering the chance to play a key role in its continued growth and success.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a diverse client base including landlords, occupiers, investors, and developers. You'll deliver expert rating advice across a wide range of property types while building your own client relationships and contributing to business development.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver tailored appeal and mitigation strategies for a variety of clients and property sectors
• Manage and expand your own client portfolio, building strong professional relationships
• Provide rating advice across the property lifecycle, including:
  • Challenging assessments through the CCA process
  • Advice on empty rates, payments, and completion notices
• Collaborate across teams (Agency, Investment, Development) to identify opportunities and promote services
• Represent clients in Valuation Tribunal proceedings (and ideally Upper Tribunal)

What We're Looking For

• MRICS qualified with strong Rating experience
• Proven track record in appeals and negotiations
• In-depth knowledge of rating legislation and case law
• Confident in inspections, reporting, and tribunal representation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commercially aware with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
• Competent with Microsoft Office and Rating software
