About the Role
Joneshouse Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to oversee two supported living services in Wellingborough.
The services support adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs, providing safe, structured and person-centred environments where individuals are supported to develop independence, build daily living skills and achieve their personal goals.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced care professional who is ready to take the next step in their management career and make a real difference across two established services.
About the Services
The two services provide a welcoming and supportive environment tailored around the individual needs of the people they support.
Individuals are encouraged to remain active, develop their independence and engage with both in-house and community activities. These include cinema trips, swimming, walking, holidays, gardening, water play and ball games.
The successful Registered Manager will ensure both services continue to provide high-quality, person-centred support while maintaining strong standards of care, safeguarding and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the effective management of both supported living services.
- Provide strong leadership, direction and support to the care teams.
- Ensure individuals receive high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence and choice.
- Ensure care plans, risk assessments and support plans are accurate, up to date and reflective of individual needs.
- Promote positive outcomes and encourage individuals to develop their independence and daily living skills.
- Lead, motivate and develop staff teams through effective supervision, training and performance management.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor the quality of care and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Build positive relationships with families, professionals, commissioners and other relevant agencies.
- Ensure the services provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Manage staffing levels, rotas and resources effectively across both sites.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, concerns and safeguarding matters.
- Support the ongoing development of both services and promote a positive culture throughout the teams.
Person Specification
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working within a managerial or senior leadership role within health or social care.
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.
- Strong understanding of person-centred care and promoting independence.
- Good knowledge of safeguarding and care standards.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Organised, reliable and confident working across two services.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- A genuine passion for supporting people to achieve positive outcomes.
Desirable Requirements
- Previous Registered Manager experience.
- Experience working within supported living services.
- Experience supporting individuals with autism and/or mental health needs.
- Relevant management or health and social care qualifications.
- Experience overseeing more than one service.
