Registered Manager – small IFA

A small, established and developing IFA require a Registered Manager to join their small service.

 

There is an office North London, with the expectation to travel to the office 1-2 days / week.

 

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the small fostering team and also for service growth and development.

 

You will be motivated and driven, keen to directly influence and further grow a service and ‘make it your own’. Excited by opportunity and challenge, you will be a keen and confident networker, responsible for building relationships with local authorities and have a creative strategy around carer recruitment.

 

Brief overview of the role and responsibilities:

 

• Management and support of 2 x SSWs and administration / HR support
• Networking with referring authorities
• Development of a recruitment strategy around prospective foster carers
• Allocating Form F Assessment and monitoring progress and timescales
• Responsibility for foster carers and staff training and development programme
• Overall service growth and development

 

You will be:

 

• A qualified social worker
• SWE registered
• A car owner / driver
• Strong fostering experience, ideally gained within the independent sector
• Proven Knowledge of Ofsted, National Minimum Standards for Fostering services and Fostering Services Regulations
• Staff supervisory experience – at Senior Practitioner / Team Manager / Registered Manager level within fostering

 

There is a strong infra structure and support, with a Team Manager, QA Manager and HR and administrative support.

 

This role will suit an existing Fostering Team / Registered Manager who is keen to have an autonomous role and the opportunity to really make a difference within a fostering service, or a dynamic, driven and ambitious Senior Practitioner with strong fostering knowledge and staff management experience, who is looking to take that next step up in their career.

 

Salary is to £70,000 + benefits, experience dependent.
