Bluestones Medical is currently recruiting experienced and dedicated Senior Support Workers to join our established team across the Wrexham Borough.

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while providing guidance and support to other members of the care team.

The Role

You will support adults and children with their day-to-day needs, promote independence and wellbeing, and ensure that care is delivered safely, respectfully and in accordance with individual care plans.

You will also take on additional responsibilities associated with a senior position, including supporting colleagues, monitoring standards of care and acting as a positive role model within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to adults and children.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing.
• Support individuals with daily living activities and personal care where required.
• Build positive and professional relationships with individuals, families and colleagues.
• Take a lead role during shifts and provide guidance and support to other Support Workers.
• Ensure care plans and risk assessments are followed appropriately.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation.
• Monitor the quality and consistency of care being provided.
• Identify and report any concerns relating to safeguarding, health, wellbeing or changes in an individual’s needs.
• Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.
• Promote a safe, supportive and inclusive environment.
• Follow all relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Shift Patterns

We offer flexible shifts to suit your availability:

• Day shifts: 8:00 am – 8:00 pm
• Night shifts: 8:00 pm – 8:00 am
• Sleep-in shifts: Available with an additional £60 payment on top of your hourly rate

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for confident and experienced care professionals who are passionate about supporting others and are ready to take on additional responsibility.

Essential

• Previous experience working as a Support Worker or within a similar care role.
• Experience supporting adults and/or children.
• The ability to lead and support colleagues effectively.
• A compassionate, patient and person-centred approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.
• The ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations.

Desirable

• Previous experience in a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader or similar position.
• Experience supporting individuals with complex care or behavioural needs.
• An in-date DBS.
• A full UK driving licence.

DBS and driving licence are advantageous but are not essential.
