Senior Programme Test Manager

Our client, a prominent player in the retail industry, is seeking a Senior Programme Test Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal in ensuring qualitative excellence in software delivery, directly influencing the enhancement of sight and hearing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enabling the most effective Quality Assurance delivery strategy within time and cost constraints
• Ensuring accurate resource forecasting and actualisation to support QA organisation utilisation
• Managing QE resources to ensure work-package management, from estimates and planning to implementation, execution, and reporting
• Delivering QE outcomes in alignment with Principal engineer or other stakeholder governance requirements
• Leading a team of Quality Managers, Quality Leads, and/or Quality Engineers to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Managing the line and performance of internal colleagues assigned as part of the organisational structure
• Acting as a deputy for the Principal Engineer when required

Job Requirements:

• Demonstrable ability to translate complex technical risks into business language for informed stakeholder decisions
• Strong advocacy for quality on projects or initiatives, providing support and education
• Flexible and pragmatic approach to test management
• Proven experience in developing and implementing quality improvement programs
• Ability to identify and utilise synergies with Partners and internal resourcing for cost-effective QA delivery
• Enhance QA and Delivery processes, tooling, and behaviours to embed quality in Specsavers' core software decisions
• Point of escalation for stakeholders to ensure understanding and continuous education of QA principles and goals
• Improve maturity of QA Capabilities, ensuring access to industry advances and standards
