Electrical Engineer

Radiant Jobs Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a temporary opportunity in London. The role sits within Engineering & Construction and is aligned to Building Services & Infrastructure. This role is suited to a capable professional who can deliver safe, technically robust electrical engineering solutions. Working within Building Services & Infrastructure, you will take ownership of design/review, calculations, specifications, testing, compliance, fault resolution, documentation and stakeholder coordination. We are looking for someone who combines strong technical or professional capability with sound judgement, clear communication and a consistently high standard of service. You will be expected to become effective quickly, adapt to the client environment and deliver confidently from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day ownership of design/review, calculations, specifications, testing, compliance, fault resolution, documentation and stakeholder coordination.
• Apply sound professional judgement to deliver safe, technically robust electrical engineering solutions.
• Deliver work accurately, efficiently and in line with agreed deadlines and service standards.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, clients, customers or stakeholders and provide timely updates.
• Maintain complete, accurate and appropriately confidential records and documentation.
• Identify risks, issues or exceptions early and take appropriate action or escalate where necessary.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team and contribute positively to service quality and operational performance.
• Follow all relevant legislation, professional standards, organisational policies and health & safety requirements.
• Look for practical opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, customer experience or outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge, skills and professional development relevant to the role.

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrable experience working as a Electrical Engineer or in a closely related role.
• Practical experience relevant to Building Services & Infrastructure.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a professional and service-focused approach.
• Excellent organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, use sound judgement and contribute effectively as part of a team.
• Confidence using the systems, technology and documentation required for the role.
• Knowledge of applicable health & safety requirements.

Qualifications Required

• Degree/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; professional registration desirable.

Desirable Requirements

• Previous experience in a comparable Building Services & Infrastructure environment.
• Additional relevant professional training, certification or membership.
• Evidence of continuous professional development and up-to-date sector knowledge.
• Experience improving processes, service standards or team performance.
