Civil Engineer

Birmingham, West Midlands Penguin Recruitment Civil Engineer Location: Birmingham Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 plus benefits I am recruiting for a Civil Engineer to join a respected, forward thinking consultancy delivering major residential, commercial and mixed-use developments across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer looking to take the next step and gain exposure to complex infrastructure schemes, from local improvements through to large, multi-million-pound projects. This Civil Engineer role supports the design and delivery of adoptable highways, drainage networks and sustainable drainage systems, alongside earthworks and external works layouts. As a Civil Engineer, you will prepare technical reports, statements and design documentation using AutoCAD and MicroDrainage, working closely with senior engineers, clients and multidisciplinary design teams from concept through to detailed design. Key Responsibilities * Assist with highways design to S38 and S278 standards * Prepare adoptable drainage designs to S104 and S98 requirements * Contribute to SuDS layouts, earthworks assessments and external works design * Produce technical reports, design statements and supporting documentation * Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies and internal design teams * Prepare drawings using AutoCAD and MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage * Develop technical capability with structured support toward Chartership About You * HND, HNC or degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline * UK consultancy experience in highways and drainage design * Confident using AutoCAD and MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage * Strong communicator with a proactive approach to learning * Keen to progress professionally with mentoring and support Why Apply This Civil Engineer position offers progression, flexibility and long term opportunity.
