Warehouse Operative

We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused Warehouse Operative to join our client’s small warehouse team on a fixed term basis to cover maternity leave.

This is a hands-on role within a busy but friendly warehouse environment, processing small customer orders and preparing them for dispatch. You will be responsible for picking, packing and dispatching orders directly to customers, ensuring every order is handled with care and accuracy.

Shift/salary:

Monday to Thursday 09:30-17:30

Friday 09:30-15:30

• £12.71 per hour
• Fixed term maternity cover contract
• Regular daytime working hours
• Friendly, small-team environment
• Full training and support

The role:

• Picking and packing small customer orders
• Carefully packing items to ensure units are not damaged in transit
• Checking and double-checking orders before dispatch
• Minimising missing items, errors and packing mistakes
• Processing dispatch information using PCs
• Working as part of a small warehouse team
• Keeping the warehouse and packing areas clean, organised and safe
• Following company procedures for order processing and dispatch

The candidate:

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Careful and accurate with good attention to detail
• Comfortable using PCs for order processing and dispatch tasks
• Able to work well as part of a small team
• Able to follow instructions and processes carefully
• Focused on quality and getting orders right first time
• Previous warehouse, packing or dispatch experience would be helpful, but full training can be provided
