Warehouse Operative

We are recruiting an accomplished Warehouse Operative for a professional permanent opportunity in Cambridge. The role sits within Industrial, Logistics & Security and is aligned to Warehousing & Distribution. This role is suited to a capable professional who can support accurate, safe and productive warehouse operations. Working within Warehousing & Distribution, you will take ownership of picking, packing, scanning, goods-in, dispatch, stock movement, housekeeping and manual handling. Key Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day ownership of picking, packing, scanning, goods-in, dispatch, stock movement, housekeeping and manual handling.
• Apply sound professional judgement to support accurate, safe and productive warehouse operations.
• Deliver work accurately, efficiently and in line with agreed deadlines and service standards.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, clients, customers or stakeholders and provide timely updates.
• Maintain complete, accurate and appropriately confidential records and documentation.
• Identify risks, issues or exceptions early and take appropriate action or escalate where necessary.
• Work collaboratively with the wider team and contribute positively to service quality and operational performance.
• Follow all relevant legislation, professional standards, organisational policies and health & safety requirements.
• Look for practical opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, customer experience or outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge, skills and professional development relevant to the role.

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrable experience working as a Warehouse Operative or in a closely related role.
• Practical experience relevant to Warehousing & Distribution.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a professional and service-focused approach.
• Excellent organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, use sound judgement and contribute effectively as part of a team.
• Confidence using the systems, technology and documentation required for the role.
• Strong awareness of health & safety and site procedures.

Qualifications Required

• Warehouse experience desirable; manual handling training advantageous.
