About the role
Job summary
The Business Analyst (STR Scheme) is a key delivery role within the Data & Analytics team, supporting the operational and analytical workstreams of the Short-Term Rental Registration Scheme. The postholder will own the connection between technical delivery, programme governance, and stakeholder engagement — ensuring that data requirements are clearly defined, actions are tracked and owned, and that the programme has the information it needs to make good decisions.
The role spans both inward-facing work such as supporting the data platform team and the operational data build process through to outward-facing discovery by engaging with booking platforms, Local Authorities, Local Visitor Economy Partnerships (LVEPs), and other partners to understand their data needs and how the scheme can serve them.
This is a programme-critical role that offers significant scope for the postholder to help shape how the scheme and stakeholder engagement functions are operationalised to benefit the visitor economy.
