Data Platform Architect – SnowflakeLocation: UK Wide | Remote Salary: Competitive + Excellent Benefits Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required Sector: Data | Cloud | Technology ConsultingWe are supporting a leading technology consultancy in recruiting an experienced Data Platform Architect / Snowflake Architect to lead the architecture and development of enterprise-scale Snowflake platforms across complex client environments.This is not simply a Snowflake migration or administration role. We’re specifically looking for someone who has designed and built a company’s Snowflake data platform from the ground up within a client-facing product or programme environment.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect and deliver enterprise-scale Snowflake data platformsTake ownership of Snowflake architecture from initial design through to productionDesign scalable, secure and resilient cloud data architecturesDefine platform architecture, standards, patterns and technical roadmapsBuild data ingestion, transformation and integration architecturesDesign data models, pipelines and data products within SnowflakeIntegrate Snowflake with wider cloud, application and analytics ecosystemsLead technical decision-making across complex client programmesWork closely with Data Engineers, Cloud Engineers, Security Architects and senior stakeholdersEnsure platforms meet requirements around security, governance, performance and scalabilityProvide architectural leadership throughout deliveryExperience RequiredExtensive experience within Data / Platform ArchitectureDeep hands-on expertise with SnowflakeDemonstrable experience architecting and building a Snowflake platform from the ground upMust have delivered a Snowflake platform within a client product / client-facing programme, rather than solely supporting an existing environmentStrong understanding of modern cloud data platform architectureData modelling, data warehousing and data integration expertiseExperience designing scalable ETL/ELT and data pipeline architecturesStrong understanding of data security, governance and access controlsExperience with AWS, Azure or GCPStrong stakeholder management and technical leadership skillsPrevious consultancy / client-facing delivery experience highly desirableSecurity Clearance
