Job Overview

• The role is responsible for providing technical field leadership and support throughout the planning, readiness, and execution phases of nuclear project work. The individual will work closely with project teams and station stakeholders to identify and resolve field issues, remove execution barriers, and support the safe, timely, and effective delivery of assigned work.

• Field Planning and Readiness: Provide technical field input during project planning, work preparation, job readiness reviews, field walkdowns, and execution readiness activities. Identify potential field constraints and ensure appropriate actions are taken prior to execution.

• Field Issue Resolution: Identify, assess, coordinate, and support the resolution of field issues, barriers, and execution challenges. Ensure issues are appropriately documented, tracked, assigned, escalated, and driven to timely resolution.

• Project and Station Interface: Act as a key interface between project teams, station stakeholders, contractors, and other involved groups to ensure effective communication and alignment throughout field execution.

• Execution Coordination: Support the coordination of field activities across multiple teams and disciplines to ensure work is properly sequenced, coordinated, and executed in accordance with approved plans and organizational expectations.

• Risk Identification and Mitigation: Identify access, tooling, material, technical, and other field risks that may impact project execution. Support the development and implementation of mitigation and recovery plans.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration across horizontal matrix teams to address field challenges and support safe and effective execution. Coordinate with engineering, project controls, operations, maintenance, construction, and other stakeholders as required.

• Escalation and Recovery: Support timely escalation of significant field issues and contribute to recovery strategies where required to minimize impacts to project schedule, cost, quality, and execution.

• Lessons Learned and Continuous Improvement: Provide input into lessons learned, field execution improvements, recovery plans, and opportunities to improve future project delivery.

• Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of field issues, actions, decisions, risks, and resolutions. Provide updates to project leadership and stakeholders on field execution status and outstanding concerns.

• Safety and Compliance: Promote a strong safety culture and ensure field activities are carried out in accordance with nuclear safety, industrial safety, quality, procedural, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.

• 4–10+ years of progressive experience supporting technical field execution, project delivery, construction, maintenance, engineering, or related activities.

• Demonstrated experience working in a nuclear operating environment or other highly regulated industrial environment.

• Strong understanding of field execution, work planning, job readiness, and issue resolution processes.

• Experience participating in field walkdowns, readiness reviews, or similar execution planning activities.

• Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve technical and field execution issues.

• Experience working collaboratively across multidisciplinary and horizontal matrix teams.

• Experience supporting contractors and coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of nuclear safety, industrial safety, quality, and procedural requirements.

• Knowledge of project controls, risk management, issue management, and escalation processes.

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• High degree of professionalism, accountability, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced field environment.
