I'm working with an exciting international technology company that is expanding its engineering team in Ticino and looking for a Lead Software Engineer.

This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who enjoys distributed systems, architecture and technical leadership.

What you'll be doing


Lead the design and evolution of large-scale distributed systems
Drive architecture decisions around scalability, performance and maintainability
Own cross-team technical initiatives and influence engineering direction
Mentor engineers and raise standards around design, code quality and operational excellence
Drive best practices across software design, testing and observability
Take ownership of critical features and services from concept through production


What you bring


Extensive experience designing and building large-scale distributed systems
Strong experience with Golang, C++ or Ruby
Strong knowledge of system design, algorithms and data structures
Experience with modern backend architectures, APIs and service-oriented systems
Strong automated testing experience
JavaScript/TypeScript and React experience is a plus
Fluent English; Italian is a plus
