Trainee Accountant | £26,000 - £35,000 + Study Support | Hereford

Kickstart your career in finance with a hands-on, supportive team. We are seeking an ambitious, proactive Trainee Accountant to join a growing finance function in Hereford.

This role is designed to give you comprehensive, real-world accounting experience from day one alongside full study support to help you become a fully qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA). You will learn directly from experienced finance leaders, receiving personalised mentoring while taking on increasing responsibility across core finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly management accounts preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and posting journals.
• Gain hands-on exposure across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and daily bank reconciliations.
• Help track spend, investigate budget variances, and support rolling cash flow forecasts.
• Receive direct training on core financial systems and ERP software.
• Assist with year-end audit preparation and statutory reporting tasks.

Your Profile:

• Driven to become a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA). Open to Graduates OR AAT L3/Qualified
• Strong attention to detail, good foundational Excel skills, and a solid analytical mindset.
• Personable, proactive, and eager to learn in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
