Senior Tax Manager
Location - Winnersh
Salary - Dependant on experience.
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join their expanding Private Client Tax team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong tax professional to take ownership of a varied portfolio, provide high-level advisory services, and support the development of a talented team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of complex private client tax affairs
- Providing advisory services on UK and international personal tax matters
- Advising on residence and domicile issues, including the Foreign Income & Gains (FIG) regime
- Supporting clients with remittance basis planning, Temporary Repatriation Facility matters, and transfers to and from the UK
- Providing Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax planning advice
- Advising business owners on profit extraction strategies
- Preparing and reviewing complex personal tax returns
- Reviewing ATED returns, P11Ds and PAYE Settlement Agreements
- Managing work in progress and billing
- Supporting business development and networking activities
- Reviewing and improving internal processes, controls, and risk management procedures
- Line managing and mentoring junior team members
Essential:
- Significant experience within Private Client Tax
- Experience managing a portfolio of personal tax clients
- Strong technical knowledge of personal tax compliance and advisory matters
- Knowledge of UK residence and domicile rules
- Understanding of trust structures and associated tax compliance obligations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Experience using personal tax software
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel and SharePoint
