About the RoleOur client, a well-established manufacturing business based in Chester, is looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking Industrial Cleaner on a temporary to permanent basis.

Working across both sites, you'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation and safety throughout production areas, warehouses, offices, welfare facilities and external grounds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and takes pride in keeping workplaces clean, safe and compliant.

Key ResponsibilitiesCleaning & Housekeeping

• Complete daily, weekly and scheduled cleaning tasks across production, warehouse, office and communal areas.
  
   
  
  
• Clean welfare facilities including toilets, changing rooms, showers, kitchens and drinking water stations.
  
   
  
  
• Carry out sweeping, vacuuming, washing, dust control and waste removal.
  
   
  
  
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment, including powered floor cleaning machinery and industrial vacuums.
  
   
  
  
• Maintain high housekeeping standards to reduce dust, contamination and slip hazards.
  
   
  
  
• Complete cleaning records where required and report any areas needing additional attention.
  
   
  
  

Facilities Support

• Replenish hygiene supplies including soap, paper towels, toilet rolls and barrier creams.
  
   
  
  
• Empty and dispose of waste from production, warehouse, office and welfare areas.
  
   
  
  
• Provide laundry cover during holidays or periods of absence.
  
   
  
  
• Assist with general site maintenance, including:
  
   
  
  
  • Low-level window cleaning
    
     
    
    
  • Car park maintenance
    
     
    
    
  • Grass cutting and hedge trimming
    
     
    
    
  • General site presentation
    
     
    
    
• Support high-level cleaning activities where trained and authorised.
  
   
  
  

Health & Safety

• Follow all Health & Safety, Environmental and Hygiene procedures.
  
   
  
  
• Wear the appropriate PPE and use cleaning equipment safely.
  
   
  
  
• Report hazards, spillages, damaged equipment, defects or unsafe conditions promptly.
  
   
  
  
• Work safely within a manufacturing environment, helping to minimise dust and contamination.
  
   
  
  
• Support effective waste segregation and environmental compliance.

• Experience operating industrial cleaning equipment.
  
   
  
  
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental procedures.
  
   
  
  
• Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
  
   
  
  
• Reach Truck or Cherry Picker licence.
  
   
  
  
• Experience completing cleaning schedules or facilities checklists.
