About the role

Job summary

At the forefront of the fight for a cleaner, fairer energy system, Ofgem delivers environmental schemes that help advance decarbonisation and support vulnerable consumers. We’re looking for a Bilingual (English and Welsh speaking) Case Reviewer to join us and help ensure these vital schemes continue to deliver for consumers and the environment.

Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. We’re at the forefront of change across the energy sector, driving toward Net Zero whilst protecting energy consumers, especially vulnerable people.

We’re offering a permanent role with the chance to contribute to environmental and social schemes worth around £10 billion each year. You’ll become part of our Operational Delivery Team, supporting trusted services that make a meaningful contribution to our wider priorities. With exposure to a varied portfolio of schemes, you’ll play your part in work that supports a cleaner, greener future while helping ensure consumers are treated fairly.

This is a fantastic chance to join a supportive and inclusive organisation and contribute to work with a clear public purpose. You’ll work with a broad range of colleagues and external stakeholders, using your judgement and attention to detail within an environment where quality, collaboration and continuous improvement are valued. As our key Welsh-language contact, you’ll also use your bilingual skills to help us provide an effective and accessible service.

We’re looking for someone who can work independently to a high standard, confidently review detailed information and evidence, and use it to reach well-supported decisions. You’ll also need excellent communication, organisation and prioritisation skills, alongside the ability to communicate effectively through the medium of Welsh.

You’ll join a welcoming environment where different perspectives are valued and where you can build experience across important environmental and social schemes. With the potential for future deployment into other areas, you’ll gain broad exposure to our work while contributing to services that make a tangible difference to consumers and the transition to a cleaner energy system.

We have a critical purpose to deliver environmental and social schemes that advance decarbonisation, support vulnerable consumers and help create a cleaner, greener future. Join us and use your skills to help ensure these vital schemes are delivered effectively and fairly for the people and communities they serve.
