Specialty Trainee (ST4+) - Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (RBHSC)

Locum Paediatrics ST4+ doctor required for a 5-month assignment in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children (RBHSC), Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. This position pays £50/hr assignment rate and involves working a full shift rota.

Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months' experience working in a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. This is a critical care environment requiring advanced paediatric resuscitation skills, ventilator management, and the ability to manage acutely unwell children independently at registrar level. You will be part of the PICU team providing round-the-clock intensive care for critically ill children across Northern Ireland.

Mandatory requirements include valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, AccessNI clearance, professional indemnity insurance, minimum 2 professional references, completed LD1 form, full documentation pack, BMJ Hyponatraemia training, and all Right Patient Right Blood modules (Blood Components and Indications for Use, Safe Transfusion Practice, Consent for Transfusion) plus Competency 1 and Competency 4 practicals.
