Are you a Security Design Engineer looking for your next opportunity? As a Security Design Engineer, you will be responsible for producing technical designs and documentation for security systems across a range of commercial, residential, and critical infrastructure projects. You will work closely with project managers, estimators, and installation teams to ensure designs are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time. Responsibilities:

* Produce detailed security system designs using CAD and/or Revit in line with project specifications and client requirements.
* Design integrated security systems including CCTV, access control, and intruder detection across varied project types.
* Prepare technical documentation, schematics, and as-built drawings to support installation and commissioning teams.
* Liaise with project stakeholders to clarify design intent and ensure technical accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
* Review and interpret client specifications, tender documents, and site surveys to inform design outputs.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant British Standards, industry regulations, and best practice guidelines.

Experience and Certifications required:

* Proven experience in a Security Design Engineer or similar technical design role within the security industry.
* Proficiency in CAD and/or Revit for the production of security system drawings and schematics.
* Solid understanding of security systems including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems.
* Experience designing to relevant British Standards such as BS EN 50132, BS EN 50131, and BS 7799.
* Full UK driving licence (desirable for occasional site visits).
* FIA or BSIA membership or equivalent industry qualification (desirable).
