I&C Design Engineer – Nuclear

Location: Tiverton, Ontario (Hybrid – 2–3 days on-site per week)
Per Diem: Yes, if eligible 
Pay Rate: $85–$100/hour

Morson Edge is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Design Engineer to support a major nuclear project. The successful candidate will provide engineering and design support for plant systems, modifications and project initiatives.

Candidates must have previous experience working with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) or Bruce Power.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review I&C engineering designs for nuclear plant systems and modifications
• Prepare technical specifications, calculations, design documentation and engineering packages
• Review drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, control logic and instrumentation documentation
• Support equipment selection, procurement, installation, commissioning and troubleshooting
• Ensure designs comply with applicable nuclear standards, codes and client requirements
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, project and site teams
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Controls, Instrumentation or a related engineering discipline
• 6+ years I&C design engineering experience within the nuclear industry
• Previous OPG or Bruce Power experience is required
• Knowledge of nuclear engineering processes, standards and design-change requirements
• Strong technical writing, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities
• P.Eng. designation in Ontario is mandatory
