About the role

If you have an interest in science and want to support young people in their learning, then this could be the job for you.

Zest Education are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and adaptable, committed to helping students by developing, preparing and maintaining facilities, equipment and materials, with an understanding of how to motivate students to learn.

You will provide practical and technical support to teachers delivering the Science curriculum, preparing and maintaining resources to enable safe and engaging practical activities to be undertaken by staff and students.

This is a temporary full-time role to from October 2026 until at least December 2026, within a secondary school that we closely work within the Solihull area. Timings of the day are Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm (3.30pm on Friday).

The successful candidate will have:

  • A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • A strong passion for Science
  • Previous experience in Science Technician roles is desirable
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management

 

Rate of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
