The School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences is at the forefront of higher education in Biomedical Science, Forensic Science, Pharmacy and related areas, and has excellent working relationships with NHS, industry, law enforcement agencies and pharmaceutical providers.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed and student-focused Associate Lecturer in Biotechnology to join the School on an hourly paid basis (hours to be agreed each semester), at a rate of £53.13 per teaching hour.

The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering an excellent learning experience for our students, contributing to teaching, assessment and academic support across the School's Foundation, BSc and MSc Biotechnology programmes.

Working as part of a supportive and collaborative academic team, you will help deliver high-quality, research-informed teaching that enables students to develop the knowledge, practical skills and confidence needed for success in their studies and future careers. The role also includes contributing to the administration and enhancement of our programmes and supporting the School's commitment to an inclusive, engaging and student-centred learning environment.

You should hold a PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or Synthetic Biology, or related biomolecular science discipline and have either experience of teaching at undergraduate level, or delivering professional training, or have achieved a recognised teaching qualification.
