Newton Abbot / Exeter | 12-Month Maternity Cover | Full-Time | Potential for Ongoing Work

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of an established business within the drilling and engineering sector for an organised and proactive Office & Operations Administrator.

This is a 12-month maternity cover contract, with the potential for the role to continue beyond the initial term.

Working closely with the Drilling Supervisor, Directors and wider team, you'll provide essential administrative support across operations, personnel, training, compliance and fleet management.

Key Duties

  • Coordinate weekly programming and manage booking forms.
  • Maintain operational systems, including Keylogbook.
  • Maintain staff records, training matrices and certification.
  • Book training courses and manage CSCS requirements.
  • Administer holiday and sickness records.
  • Manage Ihasco and SiteDoc platforms.
  • Maintain vehicle, insurance, MOT and taxation records.
  • Manage driver information, licence checks and vehicle allocations.
  • Administer TfL, ULEZ and Dartford Crossing accounts.
  • Support general finance and office administration.

Requirements

  • Previous administration, office or operations experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong IT and spreadsheet skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Experience within construction, engineering, transport or a similar industry would be advantageous.
  • Highly organised and proactive approach to work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
