3.5 Tonne Driver – South Elmsall, West Yorkshire

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 3.5 Tonne Driver – South Elmsall, West Yorkshire to join our well-established client based in South Elmsall, Pontefract.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, weekly pay and immediate starts. This role would suit candidates with previous experience as a Van Driver, Multi-Drop Driver, Delivery Driver or Courier.

£13.35 Per Hour | £20.03 Overtime | Ongoing Work | Immediate Starts | Any 5 Days Out of 7

Shifts

 • Working any 5 days out of 7
 • Start times between 5:00am and 8:00am

Rates of Pay

 • Basic rate: £13.35 per hour
 • Overtime rate after 40 hours: £20.03 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a 3.5 Tonne Driver, your duties will include:

 • Carrying out multi-drop deliveries of approximately 10–20 drops per day
 • Loading and unloading boxes and packages
 • Completing store deliveries and collections
 • Ensuring all loads are safe and secure
 • Completing vehicle inspections and reporting any faults
 • Operating a 3.5 tonne van safely and efficiently
 • Maintaining accurate delivery records and paperwork
 • Communicating effectively with staff at delivery locations

Essential Skills

As a 3.5 Tonne Driver, you will need:

 • Valid UK Category B Driving Licence held for at least two years
 • No more than six points on your driving licence
 • Strong knowledge of vehicle operation and driving regulations
 • Effective written and verbal communication skills
 • Ability to identify and report vehicle safety issues
 • Good understanding of road networks and navigational tools
 • Ability to work to tight deadlines and use your own initiative

Desirable Experience

 • Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
 • Previous multi-drop driving experience is preferred but not essential

Training Provided

 • Candidates must successfully complete a driving assessment for this role
 • Industry-related training and ongoing support will be provided throughout your assignment
