Maintenance Engineer

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site in Telford. This role involves maintaining production equipment, responding to breakdowns, and carrying out planned preventative maintenance to maximise uptime.

Location: Telford
Salary: £49,500
Shift: 3 Shifts Rotating (8 hours)

The Role

• Respond to mechanical breakdowns and complete repairs.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Fault-find and identify the root cause of equipment issues.
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
• Assist with spare parts management and maintenance records.
• Mentor apprentices or junior engineers where appropriate.

What We’re Looking For

• HNC or NVQ Level 4 in an engineering discipline.
• Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Electrical knowledge or qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
